The Village at Sunset Ridge

Pacific Lifestyle Homes, builders of The Village At Sunset Ridge, made great effort to avoid a “cookie-cutter” feel at the Washougal, Wash., development. Each of the five plans offered at the 80-site project comes with a choice of three exterior front elevations so buyers don’t have to worry about having the same house as the next-door neighbor. “We don’t build the same house next door or across the street,” said Kathy Frisbie, site manager for the project. “We guarantee a lot of architectural variety.”

Surrounded by trees on three sides, The Village at Sunset Ridge has a rural feel. Deer and hawks are frequent visitors to the site, according to Frisbie, despite its close location to Washington 14. “We’re rural, but we’re just off the highway.” New-home shoppers will find a variety of two-level plans at The Village ranging from 1,455 to 2087 square feet. The 1,774 square-foot “Laurelhurst” model features a main-level greatroom design with an island kitchen and a dining room with access to a rear patio. Upstairs, a vaulted master suite has a walk-in closet and optional configurations for the master bath. Two more bedrooms share a second full bath, with an option for converting one of the bedrooms to a study. The utility room also is located upstairs. Of the 80 homesites at The Village, 20 are located where the property slopes, offering an option for a daylight basement where the homes back to a wooded area that will not be built on, Frisbie said. The project also features a clubhouse with party rooms and a pool. Monthly dues are $50. “It’s like having a health club and party room all wrapped up in one,” Frisbie said, “so it’s pretty special to have those extra amenities.”
